The range of sanctions that the school will apply to offences related to acceptable use of technology generally includes but is not limited to: 1. a verbal warning; 2. notification and involvement of parents; 3. being restricted from access to a device and / or the network; 4. the removal of other privileges; and 5. where academic integrity and honesty is in question, sanctions will be consistent with the appropriate section of the Havergal College Code of Conduct. Severe or repeated violations may result in suspension or expulsion as outlined in the Havergal Code of Conduct. Monitoring All information and communication technologies accessible on the school’s network should NOT be regarded as private ​ . ​ Students consent and agree to allow a member of the school’s staff to review any and all files, data and messages, without notice, to ensure that students are using the system responsibly at all times. The school makes no warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied, for the use or monitoring of its network services. Use of any information obtained via the Internet is at the user’s own risk. The school is not responsible for the accuracy or quality of information obtained through its network services.
