3. Teachers and students must meet prior to the student leaving on Exchange to determine what work must be completed and how / when it will be completed. This information will be recorded on the Google Academic Agreement Form, which will be shared with the Forum for Change Program Manager and all of the student’s teachers. This form must be completed prior to the student leaving on Exchange. 4. Students will not be asked to complete all tests missed or assignments already underway when they return, for up to one week upon their return. 5. Students must cover the essential material they have missed independently, but they should seek extra help for concepts that are unclear upon their return to school, as they normally would. 6. Students may communicate, if necessary, with Havergal teachers while they are away, but this communication should be very limited in order to allow the student to fully participate in the host school’s academic and co-curricular program. International Partnerships Students have the opportunity to travel internationally for different periods of time. Every year, the Forum for Change seeks to offer meaningful excursions to national and international destinations to provide unique experiences. These excursions are experiences that allow our students to know themselves in new ways, to better understand the lived experiences of others and to deepen their exploration of their roles in the world. Social Innovation Opportunities The Forum for Change curates scheduled, as well as organic and inspired, opportunities for students to engage with social entrepreneurs, global community leaders and innovative programming and workshops. These opportunities are held under the umbrellas of: Social Justice, Diversity and Equity; Learning Service and Cultural Understanding; and Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Students have the opportunity to sign up for these exciting experiences through the Forum for Change.
