Return to Campus Parent & Student Handbook

Moving Through Campus

● Students need to listen carefully to their teachers, who will help them understand and practise what is allowed and what is not. For example, they may have a specific spot where they are asked to sit at their table and where to place their belongings, since they will not have access to lockers or cubbies. ● Students need to follow the instructions on the signs posted in their classrooms and around the College. ● Each grade will be assigned specific doors to enter and exit the building throughout the school day. Teachers are available to help guide students with entry and exit procedures. ● Students should come to school with a nutritious morning snack and a packed lunch. ● Students are asked to bring a “litterless” snack and lunch, as all items brought to school must be taken home at the end of the day. ● Havergal is a nut/peanut aware facility. As such, students are asked not to bring food containing these items. ● Students must eat at their tables in their classrooms, at their assigned seats. ● Microwaves will no longer be available. ● Students may only remove their masks while eating and must replace their masks as soon as they are done. ● Student desks are arranged to maximize physical distancing during lunch time. ● Students who are unable to follow these instructions independently and without reminders will be asked to learn from home until they can adhere to these requirements. ● Families may sign their child up for the hot lunch program, through Rose Reisman Catering. These lunches will be delivered to your child’s classroom. ○ Program Information
