Digital Tools and Support

We aim to ensure that our students have access to digital platforms and tools to support continuous learning both on campus and remotely, when needed. In the Fall Term, students will be using the following learning portals: ● JK to Grade 3: SeeSaw ● Grades 4 to 6: Google Classroom ● Grades 7 to 12: Veracross We will provide training and support for all of our digital tools and have a help and service desk available at servicedesk@havergal.on.ca . Investing in enhanced digital platforms and resources is a priority and key component of our Strategic Direction, Havergal 2020+: Future-Proofing the Next Generation . In the short term, we have partnered with Nelson Canada for Grades 7 to 10 to thoughtfully integrate Edwin , a multi-modal, interactive learning content platform that will enhance how students interact, curate and learn online. Students will experience a richer selection of resources hosted within their course pages, extending the capacity of our teachers to provide targeted learning experiences supported by high-quality, online content. Our mid to long-term objective is to provide teachers and students with a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS). We will begin implementing the new LMS in the 2022-23 academic year. We chose this product for its wealth of functionality, the company's approach to partnership with Havergal and because they are a globally-recognized specialist in school LMS design. We are currently in the development and testing stage of the project, to ensure that the LMS is best adapted to meet the needs of the College. Our extended timeline ensures an effective implementation. We will share updates with our community as we prepare to launch this exciting product that will include how we will provide the training and support available for students, faculty and families. The LMS will also be mobile-friendly to allow remote access from any device.
