● While physical distancing and wearing masks, all occupants will return into the building through the Main Entrance and then proceed to their assigned entry into Boarding.

Lockdown Procedure 1. Move immediately to a secure location wearing your mask (stay out of hallways, washrooms and common areas) and lock doors. 2. Scan hallways for students and invite them into a secure location, maintaining physical distancing as much as possible. 3. Stay contained in a safe and secure location (no sound and no movement). 4. All cell phones must be turned off immediately. 5. Everyone must remain quiet. 6. If the evacuation alarm bells ring, remain in full internal lockdown mode until the police signal the all-clear. 1. Dons will manually unlock access to central entrances and take attendance. 2. The Don on Duty will collect the Emergency Binder, Master and Commander, fire list, first aid kit and phone list (emergency numbers; guardians and parents), iPad and cell phone. 3. The Dons will then begin contacting guardians upon notification from Administration to evacuate the Boarding School (Facilities will notify the Principal or designate). There are a number of battery-operated emergency lighting units placed around the Boarding School in case of power failure (which are inspected regularly). The Boarding Office and Head of Boarding Office have large flashlights and headlamps. If there is no heat (winter), the Boarders and Staff may relocate to either the Junior School or St. Ansgar Church. Power Outage Procedure All Boarders will meet in their assigned common room.
