CLASS OF 1990 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2018

CLASS REP: Laura Cuddie The Class of 1990 is staying busy and involved in their respective communities. Many of our daughters are continuing traditions at Havergal, too ( Laurie Ogilvie Melbourne , Katie Rennie Osler , Katherine Gurney , Kristin Andersons and Melissa Tabacoff Cavelti ). Fiona Hudson Lennard is in Seattle, enjoying skiing; Sydney 12 is racing competitively. Katherine Gurney is a lawyer at Northleaf Capital in Toronto. She looks forward to introducing her kids to scuba diving this year – a nice break from all of the hockey rinks! Naomi Buck is raising her boys in Toronto, is writing and is now editor of the Chronicle ! Karen DeBortoli is on the board of George Herman House – supporting transitional housing for women – and is training for her first marathon. Christine Samuelian lives in the U.K. with her family and runs a PR company. Christine Matheson launched www.christinemathesonnd.com, relocated her clinic and helps women unlock their wellness and fertility. Karen Schaffer jumps in the Atlantic Ocean daily from May to October, presented at a career development conference, is involved in indigenous issues (she lives on Mi’kmaq territory) and writes. Gillian Whitebread and Louise Rang Nicholson take family ski vacations together (they just returned from Fernie) and ran into Lisa Currer at the airport! Gillian Whitebread mentors new Canadian professionals through TRIEC, which is highly rewarding. Her family spent a special Remembrance Day in Ottawa in honour of Canada’s 150th. Tiffany Welch enjoys her software sales career and playing with her rescue dog. She volunteers as a buddy to an intellectually challenged adult and as a coach to an underserved youth. Deb Roth Ledley ’s psychology practice in Philadelphia is busier than ever, with two books about to be published, including The Worry Workbook for Kids . She volunteers for the local orchestra and toured Julliard with Melissa Tabacoff Cavelti . Carrie Rose relocated to Montreal with her husband and son 15, volunteers at her son’s new school and plans to train for a triathlon. Brenda Sparling Howe is an active volunteer with the Junior League of Toronto, Youth Without Shelter and the Royal Canadian Legion. Attending the Invictus Games was especially

inspiring. Vivian Wu is engaged, following a helicopter ride at Mount Everest and a proposal at 18,000 ft! She is leading impact investments at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, focused on education, science, justice and opportunity. Both of Kristin Andersons ’ daughters started at Havergal this year (JK and Grade 7) and they love every minute. Emme can’t wait for Mondays and Tess did not realize that it was possible to love school so much. Laura Cuddie and her family returned to the mountains of Jackson Hole and are happy to be back skiing, hiking and enjoying the outdoors (visitors welcome). Laura serves on the board of the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum, which focuses on STEAM education and programming. Raphaela (Raphy) Bayer Dunlap is moving from Toronto to Bali for two years. Her kids are excited to attend The Green School. Giselle Jones became a licensed clinical social worker in 2017 and opened a private psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles. In 2018, she became engaged to partner Davidson Cole and gave birth to a baby girl…Averie Cordelia Jones Cole.
