The Bluestocking 2022-23

Riley Worth | Grade 12 Second Coming When I am born again,

I hope I return in the most blasphemous way possible. I hope I burst through the heavens, singing, with a crown of laurel that is so tangled in my hair it has become a forest of its own. And they will call me manic,

and ungodly, and horrific. But for once, I will laugh instead of wail. And I will cause a rupture in space and time. If only I wish it. I hope there is blood coming from my legs that stains the pure white clouds like wine. I hope I drink those clouds and become drunk on revival, filled with mirth,

blinded and stumbling. I will burn cities whole. I will drown the world. I hope I return wearing the most ridiculous of clothes and saying the most vile of things. Untying the knots.
