What will happen if my child starts to feel ill or appears unwell at school? If any student is unwell at school, they will be sent to the isolation area for assessment by a school nurse. They will be isolated in an appropriate place with suitable supervision. Day students must be picked up by a parent/guardian as soon as possible. For Boarders, the Head of Boarding will be contacted. Can my child come to school if we are awaiting COVID-19 test results? Any student who has been tested for COVID-19 must remain in isolation until the test results are confirmed. Can my child use the TTC to travel to school? Students can travel by TTC to school. They are encouraged to wear masks, maintain physical distance and avoid high-touch areas. Students should sanitize their hands before and after using public transit. What measures are in place for employees who are unwell? Employees should not come to work if they are feeling unwell. If an employee becomes unwell while at the College, they are to inform their supervisor, leave immediately and contact their doctor for further advice. If an employee has been tested for COVID-19, they must remain in isolation until the test results are confirmed. What will happen if a student is diagnosed with COVID-19? If a student is diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify the Health Centre immediately by emailing ​ covid@havergal.on.ca​ . Toronto Public Health will advise the College on the next steps to take. Will parents and visitors be allowed to enter the campus? To minimize exposure to COVID-19, parents will not be permitted to enter the campus. Only essential contractors or regulatory officials will be permitted to enter the campus, once they have complied with our screening protocols. Once on campus, they will adhere to safety and hygiene protocols and be supervised to ensure their compliance.
