Return to Campus Parent & Student Handbook

How will the school support students to maintain physical distance throughout the day? ● We know that students, particularly in the Junior School, often enjoy playing closely together, holding hands and hugging one another. Physical distancing will be challenging, but it is one of the conditions of a safe return to campus. Wherever possible, students are asked to maintain a safe distance from anyone else on campus. ● Teachers will work diligently with students to share the expectations of physical distancing. In addition to visual reminders, teachers will be on-duty to supervise and provide students with frequent reminders of the importance of physical distancing. ● Desks and tables will be spaced appropriately in classrooms and students are asked to leave them in place. ● If a student repeatedly breaches these directions despite reminders or feedback, they will be removed from the class and their parent/guardian will be contacted by the appropriate Head of School to discuss next steps. If necessary, the parent/guardian will be asked to pick-up the student immediately and they will not be allowed to return to campus until their behaviour is manageable.
