● New bipolar ionization technology to proactively purify indoor air has been installed in areas with forced air systems. This technology disinfects the air and all surfaces by neutralizing particulate matter, bacteria and viruses, odorous gases and aerosols. ● Classrooms that do not have forced air systems have been fitted with air purification devices with HEPA filters and UV-C light, neutralizing bacteria and viruses. ● All classroom lights will be turned on by Security in the morning to minimize the use of high-touch areas. ● Adjustments to our facilities to eliminate high-touch surfaces include installation of sensor technology in washrooms and water bottle filling stations. ● The Health Centre has protocols in place, such as disinfecting isolation rooms, between patients. ● Students need to clean electronics and laptops upon arrival at school every day. After arriving at school in the morning, each student should use a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe, Clorox Disinfecting Wipe, or disinfectant spray on a paper towel (provided in each classroom), gently cleaning the hard, non-porous surfaces of the phone or laptop such as the display, keyboard or other exterior surfaces. ● When indoors, every student must eat lunch at their assigned classroom, form or cohort advisory desk. ● Students may only remove their masks while eating and must replace their masks as soon as they are done. ● Student desks are arranged to maximize physical distancing during lunch time. ● When outdoors, students must eat lunch at the assigned grade, form and cohort advisory space. Students must maintain six feet of physical distance between themselves and their peers. ● Students who are unable to follow these instructions independently and without reminders will be asked to learn from home until they can adhere to these requirements.
