Overnight Leaves Other than vacation periods, students would only be allowed very limited overnight leave on a case-by-case basis and only to visit their family or guardians for very special occasions, as approved by the Head of Boarding. Students must sign out from the Boarding Office whenever they leave the building using both the REACH application and a face-to-face check-in with the Don on Duty in their respective floor areas. They must sign back in with the Don on Duty in their respective areas immediately upon their return, by signing in on the REACH application on their cell phones and by a face-to-face check-in with the Don on Duty in their respective areas. For the safety of our students, it is important that the Boarding Staff is aware of their whereabouts at all times. Students must alert the Boarding Staff should they plan to leave Boarding for any reason. Students wishing to go to visit with other Boarders outside on school grounds must advise Boarding Staff in advance of leaving Boarding and change their location on the REACH application. At the beginning of the school year, only outdoor school spaces will be available to be used. Boarders are expected to be present for Monday evening community events. Once overnight leave requests have been approved by the Head of Boarding, students should then submit the leave through REACH for weekends no later than Wednesday night prior to the weekend. REACH Leaves for Boarding Students age 18 and Over Students who have reached the age of 18 ​ and with their parent’s permission​ are permitted to take responsibility for managing their own leave requests in Boarding, including overnight leaves. Students are still expected to abide by the leave and curfew policies as stated above.
