CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

Celebration Day Celebration Day is our main fundraising event for our Community Partnerships. This dynamic and ever-evolving tradition takes place in September and is run by the Parent Relations Department. To avoid donation fatigue within our community, we have planned events throughout the year that provide ongoing support: ●​ Food drives in support of North York Food Bank (such as Harvest Festival in the Junior School and We Scare Hunger in the Upper School) ●​ Clothing drives in support of New Circles (such as Holiday Angels and Winter Clothing Drive) Global Learning Experiences Havergal recognizes the significant value of global learning in shaping students’ growth and understanding of the world. We believe that thoughtfully designed experiences beyond the classroom deepen learning by connecting academic concepts to real-world contexts, while also supporting personal, social and emotional development. Global Learning Experiences offer students meaningful opportunities to engage with diverse communities, perspectives and environments. Through these experiences, students build global awareness, strengthen relationships and develop the skills and dispositions needed to navigate an interconnected world. Every year, the Forum for Change seeks to offer meaningful excursions to national and international destinations to provide unique global learning experiences that can focus on one or a combination of our global competencies. These Global Learning Experiences allow our students to know themselves in new ways, to better understand the lived experiences of others and to deepen their exploration of their role in the world. We are excited to offer a wide range of opportunities for the 2026–27 school year. This includes an inspiring selection of global opportunities through our Round Square network, as well as enriching experiences offered through our language department and sports programs. These learning experiences will be communicated through student announcements and the Heads of School weekly communication. Round Square Havergal College is a Round Square Global Member school. As a Global Member, we send Havergal Round Square Delegates to the international conference as well as regional conferences. Round Square is committed to experiential learning and character education. Guided by the IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service, Round Square offers students opportunities to connect with peers around the world through conferences,
