HC-X: HAVERGAL’S INNOVATION HUB

What is HC-X?

Built with purpose, HC-X is Havergal’s Innovation Hub, designed to support students and faculty through contemporary and innovative learning experiences. As a lead-learning organization, HC-X grounds itself in research and intentionally builds programming for Havergal, which provides students and faculty with the tools to adapt and thrive no matter what the future brings. We promote exploration, experimentation and optimism toward multiple, collective futures. That’s our purpose. Through unique programs and workshops, students explore the world around them and imagine their own future paths — both in their careers and personal lives. Students engage with social entrepreneurs, global community leaders and emerging technologies through innovative programming. These opportunities support our students’ journeys as Havergal Difference Makers, with an emphasis on the experience of wellbeing.

HC-X Designed and Delivered Courses Digital Wisdom (Grades 5 to 8)

To prepare students for an ever-changing world, Havergal has designed a program that develops the future-ready skills, mindsets and approaches to safely and effectively thrive in a digitally-mediated world. Digital Wisdom is a unique-to-Havergal, multi-year course developed collaboratively by faculty across Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 and informed by research within and beyond the educational sectors, including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Economic Forum (WEF) and DQ Institute. There are six key outcomes of the Digital Wisdom course, structured as student-centred statements.
