Upper School (Grades 7-12)

Head, Middle School (Grades 7 and 8) The Head, Middle School leads the Middle School Form Program, oversees student life and student engagement initiatives and manages the operational running of the Middle School. The Head, Middle School is responsible for student discipline in Grades 7 and 8. Head, Senior School (Grades 9-12) The Head, Senior School oversees the delivery of the Teacher Advisor (TA) Program for students in Grades 9 to 12. The TA Program operates within the House system, which plays an essential role in keeping Senior School students connected to teachers through small, informal, cross-grade, House-designated groups that are led by House Advisors. The Head, Senior School also ensures the school’s progressive discipline framework is judiciously enforced in the Senior School in consultation with the VP School Life & Student Wellness and the VP Teaching & Learning. Finally, the Head, Senior School oversees the Grade Lead program, a Senior School initiative that aims to create grade-specific programming throughout the school year in collaboration with grade-specific Guidance Counsellors and elected student leaders. Head, Boarding School (Grades 9–12) The Head, Boarding School provides oversight and leadership for the Boarding School program, working closely with Dons and Junior Dons to create a safe, nurturing and supportive home-away-from-home for Havergal’s Boarding community. The Head, Boarding School also collaborates with the VP School Life & Student Wellness, subject teachers, School Nurse, Guidance Counsellors, the school’s Social Worker and other members of the Student Support Team to ensure that the academic, social, emotional and wellness needs of Boarders are met. Form Teachers (Grades 7 and 8) In Grade 7 and 8, students meet with their designated Form teachers in small same-grade Forms four mornings each week. The Form teacher oversees attendance, announcements, uniform checks and the Form program. There are eight designated Form teachers per grade.
