4. two or more exams scheduled on the same day for a student who has a documented  learning support and/or guidance assessment accommodation that stipulates the student  write a single exam per day;  5. a school‑sanctioned athletic tournament or provincial competition; and/or  6. an extenuating circumstance.

Please note here that ALL examination conflicts must be resolved in writing by the VP, School Life  & Student Wellness two weeks before examinations begin.

Accommodations for Final Evaluations  Students will be provided with accommodations according to the following three conditions:

1. Accommodations Based on Educational Assessments:  Year‑round accommodations are  allocated based on recommendations provided to the school through a psycho‑educational  assessment. A student with established year‑round accommodations will meet with her Guidance  Counsellor or Learning Support Specialist prior to the exam period to review her assessment  accommodations. She must use the same accommodations for all of her exams. For example, this  will mean that if she is:  ● using the Quiet Small Room for one exam, she will be there for all exams;  ● writing with her class for one exam, she will be there for all exams; and   ● using a computer in the Computer Lab for one exam, she will be there for all exams.   2. New Accommodations Based on Educational Assessments: New psycho‑educational  assessments must be received three weeks before final exams begin, if the assessment  accommodations are to be implemented for that year’s exams. Assessments received after this  date will be implemented in September in the following academic year, unless there are  extenuating circumstances.   3. Emergency Accommodations for Final Exams:   If a student arrives at school on the morning of  her exam with a certified doctor’s note requesting new accommodations, her exams for that day  will be rescheduled to the allocated Conflict Day (often the last day in the exam block) in order to  give the school time to review the note and to apply the new accommodations, if warranted, as is  consistent with school practice. Her other exams will continue as scheduled with any  accommodations, as determined by the school. All notes from the students’ physicians are to be  provided to the VP School Life & Student Wellness.
