Governance and School Leadership  

Governance  The Board of Governors is responsible for the overall stewardship of Havergal College, setting  broad policy directions through strategic planning and goal setting and ensures the financial  stability of the school. The Board is responsible for appointing the Principal to whom it delegates  authority over the administration of the school and matters of curriculum and staffing. In keeping  with membership requirements of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS), the Board  oversees the school and remains at arm’s length from the administration.  Senior Leadership Team (SLT)  Members of the Senior Leadership Team assume strategic and operational oversight for different  aspects of the school. The SLT is chaired by the Principal and made up of individuals with  responsibilities for Academics (curricular and co‑curricular program), Admissions, Advancement,  Community Relations, Communications, Marketing, Facilities, Finance, School Life, Operations,  Safety, Student Wellness, Human Resources and Information Technology. The SLT is comprised of  the following members:
