The Upper School Day  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday  (8:20 am Start & 3:30 pm Dismissal) 

Regular Wednesdays  (8:20 am Start & 2:40 pm Dismissal) 

Delayed Start Wednesdays  (9:20 am Start & 2:40 pm Dismissal)  Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6,  Jan. 10, Feb. 7, Mar. 7, Apr. 11 & May 2 

There are eight  ‘delayed  start’ days  to  the  school  calendar whereby Upper School  classes begin at  9:20 am, which  is one hour  later  than usual. On Delayed Start Wednesdays,  students will go  directly  into  their Period 1  classes at 9:20 am. They will be dismissed  from  their Period 4  classes at  2:40 pm, as usual. Students  can be dropped‐off on Delayed Start Wednesdays at whatever usual  me works  for  your morning  commute. Early‐arriving  students  can work quietly  in  the Resource  Centre, Temerty Common, Hawkins Dining Room or  the Grad Common Room  (if  your daughter  is  in Grade 12). Teachers will not be available  to meet with  students before  classes begin on Delayed  Start Wednesdays. They will be working at  the  school  in groups  to deepen  their own professional  development.  Special Schedules  When  special events  call  for  special  schedules  like,  for example, during Founders’ Day  they will be  posted  to  the  schedule board outside of  the Day School Office, on  the Student Bulle n and on  Veracross.  Drop‐Off Procedures  Following  through on  these  sugges ons will  significantly  improve  your morning drop off  experience at  the Upper School:  1. Drive past  the bend  to  the end.  Many drivers  stop at  the bend  in  the Upper School driveway  to  let  their passenger(s) out  instead  of driving as  far as possible. Stopping here  creates an  instant  traffic  jam. Driving an extra 30
