Your  children’s  safe arrival  to  school each day  is  something  that we  take  very  seriously. We ask  for  your help  in ensuring  that  the process  is efficient and  safe.  If  your daughter  is absent or  late  for  any  reason,  the parent(s)/guardian(s) must  contact  the  Junior School  immediately and  report  the  reason  for  the absence. If  the  school  is not  informed about  the absence,  the  school will make a empts  to  contact  the  parent(s)/guardian(s)  through phone and/or email. 

If we are unable  to  connect with  the parent(s)/guardian(s)  to determine  the  reason  for  the  absence, an administrator will be  informed and will decide what  further ac on  to  take.   Please  verify  that all  your  contact  informa on  in Veracross  is up  to date and  correct.  Include  any/all people who  should be  contacted  in  case of an unexplained absence  (grandparents, aunts,  uncles, nannies, etc). Verify  that  your work/office  contact  informa on  is up  to date.   Prayers: Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays  The  Junior School  community  (faculty and  students) gathers  together  three  mes weekly  for  Prayers  from 8:30  to 9 am. This  is a  me dedicated  to  spiritual and ethical development, which  makes  for a healthy and  integrated  child. Parents are always warmly welcomed! We purposefully  engage  in  inter‐faith  learning;  teaching about and  celebra ng  the major  religious  fes vals of other  faiths while  remaining firmly  rooted  in Anglican prac ce and  tradi on.   Social  Literacy and Community Building   Social  literacy  is  the development of  interpersonal  skills,  rela onship  skills and  intercultural  skills  that  support  individuals  in naviga ng a wide  variety of  social  situa ons. These  skills are essen al  and help  to  foster  collabora on,  coopera on and  teamwork. To be  successful,  students must  develop:  ● the ability  to  relate well  to others; 

● the ability  to  cooperate and work  in  teams; and  ● the ability  to manage and  resolve  conflicts.
