Frances Brown O’Malley enjoys retirement on the farm. She is on the board of both her local library and horticultural society, and she and her husband plan to spend the bulk of the colder months in Panama. 2018 was especially exciting as she also re-entered the word of politics, on a municipal level.

two HC girls, Lindsay (Grade 10) and Katie (Grade 9). Cathy Wright Southey is about to be an empty nester, with her son heading off to university in the fall. Heather Palmer continues to use her neuropsychology expertise to support normal cognitive aging and dementia at Amica Senior Lifestyles and Maximum Capacity Inc. and supports cancer survivors with cognitive changes.

CLASS OF 1986 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2019

CLASS REPS: Amy Gaskin and Lisa MacLatchy Naprawa Greetings to the Class of 1986! Many classmates have children heading off to university. Marin Chisholm Guy, Nina Abdelmessih and Courtney Carlisle Steeves each got their sons settled in at Queen’s this year. Others have children graduating from university. Lisa MacLatchy Naprawa ’s daughter Sophie is graduating from Western with a degree in media, information and technoculture. She will be moving back to Toronto and is deciding between post-graduate program options. Lana Ogilvie ’s daughter Coco is graduating from UCLA. Stephanie Hickman has been recognized with the Queen’s Counsel designation. This is a huge honour in the legal profession, and we are so proud! RebeccaWalker continues to love living inNunavut with her husband and two boys. She wrote us a heartwarming note about her community coming together in a time of need, reminding us about the importance of kindness and human connections in this evolving world. Sarah Weir is still living and teaching in Berlin. As her twins are now 15, she spends much time reflecting and appreciating our

teachers and mentors at Havergal. She will be in Canada for a month in the summer and hopes to connect with Havergal friends while here. Maureen Campbell spent three weeks walking the Wales Coast Path. Kathleen Ruttan Daigle has moved to Meaford where she spends a lot of time outdoors swimming, hiking and skiing with her husband. She tried retirement, but it was not for her and she has gone back to work part- time, taking shorter production contracts in the U.S. Esther Benzie “retired” after 23 years at P&G, however, retirement v1.0 was short-lived, and after a fantastic break with travel to Spain, Vancouver, Seattle and New Orleans, Esther is now at CIBC as VP of marketing and client communications. Anne Parkinson Ullman ’s daughter Alexandra is in junior school at BSS. Amy Gaskin and Allyson Whyte Nowak both sit on the board of the Havergal Foundation. Laura Wright Lai joined Owen Bird in Vancouver, B.C. and is heading to Zambia and Botswana in April for a safari. We are delighted to hear from our classmates and love keeping in touch.
