CLASS REPS: Lea Aird Menear, Roslyn (Roz) Kaye Stollery and Barbara (Barb) Beatty Taylor Thank you to all who sent us your news. It’s wonderful to hear from everyone! The most-mentioned classmate this year is Elizabeth (Liebes) Austin ! Barb Beatty Taylor kayaked with her. Judith Hodgson Sanford from Oregon and Rosie Campbell from Vancouver Island celebrated her 70th with her. Jane Rowe Rees in Duncan, B.C. often speaks to her. Marian Smith vicariously travels with her on Facebook, this year to Corsica and Madeira, and Connie Corbett and Karen Corlett Druker keep in touch with her. Almost everyone is about grandchildren. Lea Aird Menear is busy with seven grandchildren – two in Toronto, three in New York and two in Virginia. She skis in Collingwood, plays bridge and has gone back to painting. She hosted a surprise birthday lunch for Susan (Sue) Aziz Innes with their bridge friends, and then she, Barb Beatty Taylor, Gay Mills McNeil, Lou Ann Fallis Ballard (who has a new granddaughter and whose younger son is getting married in October) and Roz Kaye Stollery all celebrated again together. Janet Oxley Waddington divides her time between Toronto and Port Hope. She has two children, three grandchildren and a border collie. Jill Dyer Hartley has a son in England, saw the length of Australia by train last year and is planning a transatlantic cruise. When she’s not travelling on Facebook, Marian Smith spends time with her three children and four beautiful granddaughters. Barbara (Barb) Smith Broadhead has retired again, enjoys her three grandchildren, plays bridge and has started doing Pilates. Merridy Cox Bradley spent part of the winter in the Bahamas and is a published poet. Her work can be found in the Haiku Canada Review , the HC Members Anthology.

By the time you read this, Marjory Glassco Patterson , who lives in Ottawa, will have five grandchildren. Last June she took a memorable river cruise from St. Petersburg to Moscow and this year she plans a walking holiday in England. She recently received a visit from Jenny Stevens Ucar . Connie Corbett sadly lost her mother in the fall. She lives in Presqu’ile, spends winters in Portugal and enjoys frequent visits with both sons. She keeps in touch with Suzanne Greenfield Heathcote , who is living and painting in Calgary but spends winters in Arizona. Jo-Ann Joseph is enjoying her first grandchild. We were sorry to learn that her sister Cheryl Joseph 1963 passed away in October. Nancy Paul Hamilton enjoys going to the theatre with Roz Kaye Stollery , who has a boatload of grandchildren and plays a lot of bridge. Nancy is looking forward to trips to Hawaii and Scandinavia before spending the summer in Collingwood. Mary Garvie Yone lives on Lake Huron, has three grandsons and last year travelled in Spain, Scotland and Ireland. Karen Corlett Druker ’s son got married in 2017, and her other son is still firmly ensconced in Boston, working at the Berklee College of Music. Helen Fisher , still at the University of Guelph, has happily eschewed all media – social and otherwise – except for two newspapers. Best wishes for a safe and healthy year.
