CLASS OF 2015 DAVID SUMNER BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2019

CLASS REPS: Tessa Buchan, Sara Gilchrist and Alex Harrison It is an exciting year for the class of 2015, as many of our classmates are completing their undergraduate studies this May. Some are continuing their undergraduate degrees, others are attending graduate school, and some are working or travelling. Sara Keshavjee worked last summer on innovative diabetes treatments in a research lab at the University of Toronto. She is enjoying her final year at Cornell and will be graduating with a degree in biological sciences. In the fall she will be starting medical school but is still deciding which school to attend. Natassjia Reid is graduating in May with a dual major in international CLASS REPS: Emily Dotsikas, Julia Mastroianni, Jessica Munk and Jane Yearwood Jaimie Kidson is studying computer engineering at Queen’s University with a certificate in commerce. She is currently the director of FreshSight, a Queen’s Commerce consulting firm, and a summer associate at Coactuate, a boutique consultancy in Toronto. Emily Dotsikas is studying history, art history and communications in her third year at McGill University. Her studies have taken her abroad to King’s College London, where she is taking endless advantage of the free museums and galleries. Zoe Sullivan is finishing the third year of her sociology and film media degree from Queen’s University and is studying abroad for the semester at the University of Warwick in England. Zoe has enjoyed being the captain of the Queen’s tennis team and playing for the Warwick varsity tennis teams. She is looking forward to returning to her position as marketing and logistics director for the Make-a-Wish foundation – Queen’s branch – following her exchange. Laura Schwartz is in her third year at Queen’s University, where she studies global development and concurrent education. She is currently studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh and immersing herself in Scottish culture. Emily Callahan is enjoying her first year at Western’s Ivey Business School. She also works as a video editor for Western’s student-run newspaper ( The Gazette ) subsidiary, Western TV. CLASS OF 2016

business and entrepreneurship from the University of San Francisco. After graduating, she is moving to Los Angeles. This past year, Natassjia has been able to link up with a few of the Havergal Old Girls she met through boarding. Hannah Crossgrove came to visit her in October, Andrea Bejar visited her in February, Natassjia is visiting Elaine Chan in Los Angeles in March, and Karina Rebellato and Natassjia are going to Los Angeles together in May. Mady Duboc spent the summer working in a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon. In the spring she will be graduating from Stanford with degrees in management science and engineering and classics. In the fall she will be starting full time as a consultant with EY-Parthenon in San Francisco. Ferris Nowlan is on exchange to Hong Kong for the winter semester. She is excited to be returning to Toronto this summer to work at the Donnelly Centre. Victoria Tam has found a new passion for theatre in her school’s improvisation troupe! She will also find herself in Shanghai and Tibet this summer for a field study, teaching young children English. Elena Wong is completing her third year of mechanical engineering at Guelph and has chosen to specialize in mechatronics. Elena will be reprising the role of Dumbledore in her school’s rendition of A Very Potter Musical . During the summer, she will be working as a process engineer intern at an automotive manufacturing company. Bridget Schwartz is loving her time at Skidmore as a political science and theatre double major and having a leadership position in the school’s club VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood. In her fall semester, Bridget ran two voter-registration drives for the United States 2018 midterm elections. Bridget also stage-managed a student-directed play in the fall and will be acting in one in the spring. Bay Gerlings continues to be involved with Laurier Musical Theatre and has been elected president for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. She will be taking on a praetorship this summer in psychiatry. Christina (Tina) Richardson is currently travelling for six months through New Zealand, Vietnam, Australia, Switzerland and Sweden.
