CLASS REP: Jane Stevens Westlake We had a wonderful 50th Reunion in October. It was great to see so many classmates at our Saturday dinner at the Coach House at Vaughan Estate and on Sunday’s lunch at Havergal. Thanks to Wendy Thompson for recalling a heartwarming Celebration Weekend attended by Rosemary Taylor McIntosh 1968, Diana (Deedi) Ward , Andrea Young , Judy Mills Hatley , Michele (Mickey) Coste Shofner , Rosalie Belton Starkey , Lynn Leitch Stuart , Airlie Arton , Nora McKay Adamson , Gail Spencer , Hope Thomson Haynes , Judith (Judy) Welch Schuett , Deirdre Hogg Hamstead , Sonia Stratton Ryerson , Elizabeth (Lee) Thorp , Wendy Thompson and Jane Stevens Westlake . Wendy Thompson ’s updates this past year have included renovating, moving into a midtown apartment in Toronto with her partner Bill Pashby, winding down a solo law practice and travelling to Israel, Jordan and India. She’s involved with not-for-profit boards and has been “rehabbing” from a knee replacement.

Andrea Young , now retired, contributes to a Unitarian Fellowship board, enjoys classical concerts and theatre. Favourite recent holidays have been to Spain and Portugal, with a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 in May to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary. Andrea suffered two broken wrists after an ice fall – “incredible pain and a dramatic change in everything, as I could do nothing for myself during the first month,” she writes. She is hoping to be well enough to participate in the sports which she enjoys well before we receive the Chronicle in late August. Judy Welch Schuett works with a kindergarten pupil through the National Institute for Learning Development, helps an educational therapy student and keeps busy tutoring two other students. Evelyn Moore , since retiring as head of English at Royal St. George’s College in 2011, is “living in paradise”: 54 acres northeast of Peterborough, century farmhouse, happily growing organic veggies, sharing the land with
