CLASS REPS: Jane Carter MacDonald and Joyce Rous Sowby Each year, it is more difficult to phone around and put together the Class News before the school’s deadline. It is a tiring task and being 90 years old does not help! Ann Boswell Benattar is content in her new life in Bracebridge, Ontario but misses Montreal, to which she returns every few months to visit her daughter and son and to see old friends. Donalda (Donnie) Paff Wright reports that her annual stay in Florida this year was pleasant as ever, and that she had also visited her daughter and son. Jean Ker Watson is living in Orangeville. She fled her farm during the winter months and took a room at a senior’s residence. During that time, she sustained some injuries from an accident but has since recovered. She is looking forward to being back in her garden again. Jean has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Barbara MacLaren Enright has two great- grandchildren. Joan Pilcher Kirk is still happily living in her house in Thornbury, Ontario. Ellen Gairdner Todd – our Head Girl – is well and living in Waterloo, Ontario. Edie McPherson Machado is living in Portland, Maine. She lost her husband. You may recall that Edie’s husband was the brother of Nora Machado . We send our sincere regrets to Edie and Nora. Jane Carter MacDonald and Jeannie Austin Regan worked hard on planning the 70th Reunion celebration last October. We were happy to see Charlotte Keens Graham , Virginia Robertson Macdonald and Mary Bennett Mordy (and her daughter Carol Mordy Saldanha 1984, who acted as her chauffeur). Sadly, Mary passed away in January 2018. In August 2017, we lost the second of the Haultain twins; Margaret Haultain Littlejohn passed away. As you know, we lost Patricia Haultain Bailey a couple of years ago. Both sisters were married and lived in Ottawa. Joyce Rous Sowby is still working in the library at Trinity College and thoroughly enjoys the work that she is doing there. Joyce was surprised to receive an honorary award from the Diocese of Toronto in January. It was to mark her 81 years in the parish.
