CLASS OF 2017 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2018

CLASS REPS: Elizabeth Farkouh, Stephanie Higgs, Evelyn Silverson-Tokatlidis and Coco Wang Priscilla Barker decided that engineering was not the right path for her and took a gap year instead. She is currently working in Taiwan and travelling and she plans to study architecture in the future. Elizabeth Farkouh is enjoying her first year at Cornell University and plans on minoring in theatre. Olivia (Liv) Fitzpatrick has been busy at Queen’s University, attending conferences on international business and the entertainment industry. She also visited Havergal as a part of the high school liaison send-back program.

StephanieHiggs currently attendsWilfrid Laurier University and is enrolled in their communications program. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of her residence’s council as council chair and is a member of Laurier’s art scholars group and Right to Play club. Evelyn Silverson-Tokatlidis is loving her time at McGill University. This year, she started playing rugby for the Martlets at the varsity level. She has decided to pursue a degree in international development studies and economics. Evelyn wants to thank Havergal and all of her teachers for preparing her for academics at the university level.

CLASS OF 2018 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2018

CLASS REPS: Danya Assaf, Anne Broughton, Samantha Parker and Sarah Zhao Steph Storr ’s last year was filled with lots of opportunities to try new things. She directed one-act plays, did a tour of French Canada and sung in prayers for the first time: “all things that pushed me out of my comfort zone, but were all worth it.” Faustine Leung competed in Paris, France for synchronized swimming and will be going to the University of Toronto next year. Maya Ibbitson says that she enjoyed her time in a formal leadership role at Havergal and made the most out of her last year of classes and clubs such as model UN. She plans to study international relations at university. Katie Pirie played on the soccer, hockey and ultimate Frisbee teams. As a sports prefect, she helped plan and run events such as a hockey day, gator day, intramurals and athletic assemblies. She’ll be in a one-act play in May and will be studying science next year at Queen’s University. Caragh Shea directed a one-act play and is planning on going to Parsons School of Design next year to study interior design. The best parts of Gillian Smith ’s year were winning OFSAA with the senior swim team and competing at Head

of the Charles with the rowing team! Caroline Cui competed at the HOSA competition, managed to get into university and had a blast at her last Father-Daughter dance. Jessica Wang learned from Havergal’s social sciences department about the opportunity to run for a local constituency council. She is nowa liaison inMPMendicino’s office and looks forward to attending Columbia University next year! Sydney Meek plans to go to university to study environmental studies. It’s been a passion of hers since Grade 10, and she couldn’t be more excited! Sasha Lechtzier spent her last year at Havergal spreading spirit around the school and hopes to continue to do the same at Queen’s in the fall! Ellen Coady was involved in model United Nations and music at Havergal; some highlights include winning the Pierre Elliot Trudeau award for Diplomatic Finesse and the Best in Class Award with the symphonic band. Next year, she plans to study forensic psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa. Haley Walker was the health and wellness prefect and she ran Mental Health Week in the spring.
