CLASS REPS: Martha Hart McDougall and Tralee Pearce Montréaler Pamela Lipson works as an English translator and heads up English communications at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), with a side gig as a fitness instructor (spinning, Pilates, barre). She’s involved in events such as the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer and training her colleagues by giving free spinning classes. She found time to choreograph her kids’ (Sophia 9 and Benjamin 7) school play ( Aladdin and the Magic Lamp ). Two casts, four shows in a real theatre! Candace (Candy) McCutcheon Dinnick ’s year has been about adapting to a new life. She’s separated and living in Toronto with a new man ‒ Michael Latimer ‒ and their blended brood of five kids. She has switched real estate companies to Bosley. Both are going very well, she says. Her two boys (Christopher 17 and Charlie 13) are active in baseball, hockey and Kilcoo Camp. Nicole Beckmann Swales reports that her daughter Alexa competes at a national level in synchronized swimming and her son Lukas plays hockey and “every other sport under the sun.” Her son Nikolas is trying out acting. Nicole sits on the board of directors at Crescent and on the foundation committee at Havergal. A trip to New Zealand with her husband Brian and the kids was a highlight of 2016. After completing five years as CEO of Women in Capital Markets in 2013, Martha Fell took some time to decide on her next chapter. She eventually jumped into fashion by starting Jaxx & Marbles Inc. with a friend in 2015, making cool custom belts for kids, women and men – all in Toronto. Martha is also on the Blackrock Canada IRC board, Havergal’s board of governors and is a founding director of Bay Street Deconstructed. Tricia (Trish) Lines Hill continues to work as senior vice-

president of BD and marketing at First Atlantic Commerce and recently launched her own line of natural organic body care products. Tricia Lines Bermuda features washes, lotions, scrubs and butters and is currently available in various boutiques around Bermuda. Andrea Dalgarno Juby ’s son Ian started at University of Toronto this year and her daughter Nicole starts high school next year. Nicole is dancing up a storm; tap is her specialty. Jennifer Barbour McKellar enjoys life in California with her family and works as an environmental planner for San Francisco. After 10 years in the U.S., she became an American citizen in November. Jennifer is pleased that it happened in time to have Barack Obama’s signature on it and not the new guy’s! Beth Graham Burrows ’s daughter Nicole graduated from Havergal last year after being sports prefect and is now at university in California. Her daughter Tori is in Grade 11 (and is also the school mascot Allie the Gator!) and Emily is in Grade 9. Beth currently sits on the HOGA Directorate as the Upper School liaison. She is back in school herself, at King’s College at UWO for a certificate in grief counselling through the social work program. Susan McDonald Beckwith is part of a sponsor group that welcomed a Syrian refugee family to Ottawa last year and has been humbled by the courage and determination of the family members. “I also have loved my time once a week when I go to practise English reading with the 8-year- old boy, Maher. It is my favourite spare time activity and is a consistent reminder of how privileged we are to live in such a great country.” We’re hoping to hear more about these and other updates at our 30th Reunion in the fall!
