Havergal Philanthropy Investing in Excellence

As an independent school and registered charity, Havergal relies on philanthropy as an important source of financial support to ensure our tradition of excellence in girls’ education. The successful completion of our recent Limitless Campaign is an example of the impact the community can have on our school. From one-time donations to ongoing commitments, all gifts have an important impact on the advancement of Havergal’s mission, ensuring our students have an exceptional experience. Priority areas are identified each year and donors designate which areas they would like to support. Donors also have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to a particular initiative, such as financial aid, programs that enhance the student experience and investments in top-notch facilities. Following the completion of the Limitless Campaign , this year we invite you to learn about several new philanthropic opportunities that align with the school’s Strategic Direction, Havergal 2020+: Future-Proofing the Next Generation . HC Fund

Your unrestricted gift will allow Havergal to direct funding to the area of greatest need for the College.

Financial Aid

Champion exceptional Day and Boarding students who would not otherwise be able to attend Havergal. Your gift will help us eliminate the tuition fee barrier for these students.

Wellbeing

Our program provides students with the sense of agency required to identify their needs for personal wellbeing and access the appropriate support. Your gift will support both ongoing program development and facilities.

Academics

Havergal offers a rigorous curriculum. Your investment in academics will support our students in learning new ways to express themselves with creativity, enthusiasm and self- confidence through the provision

of exceptional and innovative programming like Liberal Arts and STEM.

The Arts

The Arts play an integral role in developing students’ hearts and minds as part of a well-rounded education. Your investment in The Arts will help us to continue to provide depth to the educational experience for your children.

Athletics

From team sports to extensive athletic facilities, students have a variety of options to fine-tune their athletic skills in fun and challenging ways. Your investment in athletics will help us both sustain and grow our programming and facilities for students.

Teachers are at the core of your child’s experience. Your investment in our faculty ensures sustained excellence in teaching and learning that is a hallmark of a Havergal education.

JUNIOR SCHOOL Program & Place

Your gift will nurture our youngest learners through accessible resources, age and stage specific programs such as STEM and facilities designed for them.

Environmental Sustainability

Support the maintenance and stewardship of our outdoor spaces, including the Lisa Hardie Trail, Outdoor Classroom and the Burke Brook.

What is Havergal Philanthropy? As an independent school and registered charity, Havergal relies on philanthropic donations as an important source of financial support to offset operational expenses. Priority areas are identified each year and donors may designate which areas they would like to support through our annual appeals.

Can I support my area of interest in a substantial way? Major gifts can be made in support of a school program or specific campaign and can be transformational for our school by both enhancing and sustaining our ability to deliver on our mission. These gifts can be made as multi-year commitments (pledges) and provide a sustainable funding source for your area of interest. Can I include Havergal in my estate plan? Each year Havergal is privileged to receive realized planned gifts from our community in the form of estate gifts and gifts of insurance. These gifts are an expression of the passion our donors have for our school and the timelessness of our mission. How much should I donate? We ask that you consider a gift that is right for you and your family; your participation in our donor community is what matters most. Donations of any size, at the level that you are comfortable, are truly valued and deeply appreciated. Can I make a monthly commitment? Many donors find it convenient to donate monthly, with automatically withdrawn payments. To choose this option, simply select “monthly donation” when you donate online or on your reply form. How will I know that my donation is making an impact? Through updates in our newsletters, social media and our annual Impact Report, you will see the difference your donation is having on our students. Please know that we are available at any time should you wish to discuss your gift or learn more about Havergal Philanthropy.

The Havergal Circle Cumulative giving of $25,000 or more

Ivy Society 10+ years of consecutive giving

Green & Gold Society Champion: $10,000 and above Benefactor: $5,000 to $9,999 Partner: $2,500 to $4,999 Patron: $1,000 to $2,499

What you can expect as a donor: • A full tax receipt for your donation (for gifts of $25 and up). • Recognition at the appropriate level. • Stewardship in our annual digital Impact Report. • An invitation to our Celebration of Community event in the spring. If you would like your donation to be anonymous, we will respect your wishes.
