Reunion News

Hundreds of Old Girls returned to Havergal to reconnect with their former classmates, teachers and the Havergal community at this year’s Reunion Weekend festivities on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29. We were delighted to welcome back our graduating classes ending in 4 and 9.

On Saturday evening, the Reunion Year’s Cocktail Party brought together more than 250 Old Girls from graduating classes ending in 4 and 9. The excitement was tangible as we watched our alumnae take a trip back in time, when they walked through Havergal hallways once again and viewed some of their old school photos on display at the archives around the Brenda Robson Hall (thanks to Debra Latcham, Archivist, for putting this together). There was a Boarding School open house for Old Girls to revisit their old dorms. Later, each class went off-campus to their own special celebrations, which were hosted in a variety of homes and restaurants around the city. There was also a special Celebration of Life for Marcelle De Freitas, which took place on Sunday morning. It was a beautiful service complemented by a performance from the Old Girls Choir. After the service, members of the class of 1969 made their way to the Ellen Knox for their 50th reunion luncheon. Congratulations to our newest Cinquantenaires!
