The Strength of Community Giving in Uncertain Times S ince the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus on wellbeing has become more important than ever. Life balance comes in physical, emotional and spiritual forms and leads to individual prosperity. Creating harmony between our life responsibilities, participating in activities that bring us pleasure, fulfillment and renewal is different for each of us. We know that, at a fundamental level, eating healthily, exercising and getting adequate rest and sleep are necessary to feel refreshed. At Havergal, our students are fortunate to participate in programs and a curriculum to support their wellbeing needs. Whether it is co-curricular activities in athletics or programs involving mindfulness, Faculty and Staff offer a variety of opportunities for students to become authentic agents of their health. We are grateful to have a community of donors who support programming that makes a difference in our student’s lives every day. Through giving, funds have been established to support those who exemplify leadership, dedication, perseverance and, above all, a successful balance in attitudes toward school, sport and life in general. The Limitless Campaign has brought to life our vision of delivering leading programs in spaces that inspire learning and wellbeing. The achievement of completing construction on our new buildings has provided more spaces for students to learn on campus with exciting new opportunities for discovery and growth as they reach their potential. We would like to thank every single donor for their compassion and extraordinary dedication to girls’ education. Although times are more challenging now than ever, we are confident that we will emerge from this pandemic with a greater appreciation for in-person connections and the support of the Havergal community. As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of school life, we are available to provide assistance with any questions or concerns about giving that you might have at this time. We are working closely with Faculty to benefit from their insights: the Strategic Direction Havergal 2020+ Future-Proofing the Next Generation is premised on leveraging the expertise and passion of the Faculty to assure continued evolution of the rigorous, engaging learning programs at Havergal. Alignment between the learning cultures of the students and the teachers provides the optimal environment to advance Havergal’s educational objectives. As a lead learning organization, Havergal continues to be agile, flexible and positive in the face of global challenges. As HC-X is paving the way for modern, co-created learning pathways, developing future-ready programming for students and parallel professional learning for our educators, HC-X will also offer opportunities for families to learn with and from us.
