“What the hell is going on ? Let me go!”

The leader raised the knife above its antlers.

“Take our sacrifice, Dark God Azazel! Take it and return this world to the image of your kingdom!” The Dark God? The Dark God that the kingdom is at war against? But nobody here worships Azazel. No one has for thousands of years. Ahpuch destroyed thousands of cities, killed millions of people. Why would anyone here worship Azazel? “We pray for your swift victory over the weakness of this world! We pray for your return to power! Accept this sacrifice!” Return to power? Azazel’s reign was the darkest time in all of history. The world was ravaged by famine, blights on the crops. Citizens were regularly taken by Azazel’s military to be sacrificed as food! The knife was brought down his forehead and traced down his face and neck, leaving a line of blood. Even as the figure stood right over him, the hood was completely dark, as if it were empty of a body. “Now we sacrifice the infidel!” Who were they sacrificing to? Azazel is legions away fighting on the southern front. Azazel only ever sacrificed people for food, not for fun. If these people didn’t know that, they clearly weren’t worshippers. There was no way they could be. He would know.

He is Azazel. And he killed his worshippers eons ago.
