The New Lower School Kneesocks , 1998-99 By Tara McGlone, Grade 2

When we went to the construction site in February, I experienced a very interesting view of what was going on. There was a lot to look at. I was amazed at how hard the workmen were working. The most exciting thing was the crane. It was lifting up a huge canister of propane. Propane is a gas that the workmen used to get more light when it was dark. They also used it for warmth. There was plastic over some parts to help insulate the building. The plastic also had the ability to keep the wind out. It’s difficult to believe that I will be walking there in the new school in the year 2000!
