Senior School Productions The Senior School can boast equally powerful

productions. In addition to the one-act plays produced each year by students in the senior-level drama course, there have been musicals such as Anything Goes , Shakespearean tragedies including Macbeth (with an electronic and electrifying scoreboard tallying those felled by the tyrant) and docudramas such as The Laramie Project , which recounts the story of the brutal murder of a young gay man. Given the sensitive nature and complexity of many of the texts, it is customary for the staff and students involved to take part in Cast Away. This weekend retreat, held in the early fall of each year, lays the groundwork for a production that may involve Havergal musicians and visual artists and on occasion students from Crescent School and Royal St. George’s College, with whom Havergal has a history of very successful co-productions.
