Havergal College & The Havergal College Foundation Impact Report 2019-20

It has been an incredibly busy, impactful and rewarding first year at the College. Learning the culture and understanding the rich history that underpins our community has been very meaningful to me. This year, we faced many new challenges, each of which found us demonstrating resilience and compassion, whilst also presenting us with new opportunities for learning and growth. I greatly appreciate all of the support and feedback I have received from parents and students alike, as we navigate uncharted waters. I also appreciate the philanthropic support of each and everyone acknowledged in this report, and I urge our broader community to consider making an investment in our students — the future generation of leaders. Through our Strategic Direction, Havergal 2020+: Future-Proofing the Next Generation , we are preparing our graduates to become confident global citizens, who pursue their passions and thrive beyond the ivy walls. The Limitless Campaign has brought to life our vision of delivering leading programs in spaces that inspire learning. The achievement of completing construction on our new buildings has allowed us to welcome students

back to campus, with exciting new opportunities for discovery, learning and the ability to reach their potential. This aspirational project has extended the footprint of our facilities, giving us exceptional spaces to deliver a range of cross-disciplinary programming. My sincere thanks to every donor who helped the Limitless Campaign come to fruition. However, there is still work to be done. This is a pivotal time in the capital campaign, as we have not yet reached the finish line. Having raised $18 million toward our $21-million target, we need the continued support of our generous community to ensure the College can upgrade its facilities for optimal health and safety, as well as facility redesign, in alignment with the Strategic Direction. As the leading school for girls in Canada since 1894, Havergal shapes young people to become emerging leaders. The College’s supportive and stimulating learning environment, coupled with a new strategic direction, will ensure that students are equipped with the tools they need to lead with purpose and thrive in uncertain times. We cannot thank you enough for your efforts in helping to support our vision.
