MESSAGES

For more than 125 years, our Havergal community has existed through extraordinary shifts in technology, politics and culture. We have been there through major world events, national tragedies and local challenges. While no one could have predicted the events of 2020, what was always certain is how our community would respond. In this report, we look back on the year that fast-tracked our development in every possible way — from utilizing new technologies to expand our learning remotely, to bold thinking that enabled us to respond quickly in an unforeseen global crisis. We continue to be appreciative of the many contributions of our volunteers. Groups such as the Havergal College Parent Association (HCPA) lead the way in creating a comforting atmosphere for our families, despite disruptions this year. The Havergal Old Girls Association (HOGA) continues to keep us connected with our past, as we carry forward the College’s new Strategic Direction, Havergal 2020+: Future-Proofing the Next Generation .

Our donors also remain vital pillars of our community. The completion of our landmark Limitless Campaign is now in sight, and our beautiful new buildings opened this fall. We started 2020 with news of the largest gift in our College’s history, made possible by the generosity of the Dovigi family, who named the new wing in our Junior School. It has been an incredible period of giving, and we thank all of our donors for their compassion and extraordinary dedication during this unprecedented time. We hope you enjoy reading about the many successes of our 2019 – 20 fiscal year and our community, who continues to make all girls’ education a priority. Thank you for your continued support and philanthropy.
