CULTURE OF COMMUNITY
The Havergal community is a vibrant and diverse network of students, parents, alumna, faculty, staff and friends. Our dedicated faculty and staff are highly qualified and passionate about guiding young learners. They exemplify the qualities we seek to cultivate in our students, such as innovative thinking and strong personal values.
NEW SPACES & NATURE
Launched in the fall of 2020, these innovative new facilities dedicated to art, design, music and health and wellbeing programming are purpose-built to inspire learning and encourage self-discovery. Classrooms are designed to foster interdisciplinary learning opportunities, allowing creative and analytical disciplines to be taught in reimagined ways, extending the development of critical and creative thinking.
Our light-filled spaces integrate the beauty of our 22-acre campus and the neighbouring Burke Brook Ravine, connecting students with nature and uniting Havergal with the world beyond its ivy walls. A woodland trail provides a picturesque and tranquil outdoor classroom where students can explore, discover and connect with the natural environment.
TRANSITION TO THE UPPER SCHOOL
Our Junior Years program provides students with a strong foundation of skills and knowledge that prepares them for future learning as they transition into our Upper School. From Grade 5, an expanded co-curricular program offers more opportunities for students to take on leadership roles and try something new. Students develop a sense of independence and are appropriately challenged to step up and contribute to the broader life of their student community.
