With another school year well underway, we continue to deliver an exceptional education experience and provide a supportive learning environment for our students. We are committed to ensuring that every Havergal student who walks through our doors has the opportunity to thrive and excel. We are delighted to share our achievements and milestones over the past year. In line with Havergal’s vision, our strategic plan—Empowering Excellence—outlines three pillars: Connection, Wellbeing & Belonging, Future Ready and Transforming Tomorrow. Each pillar is a key area of focus and promises to lift our community to even greater heights. A heartfelt thank you to our faculty and staff, students, Board members, parents and Old Girls/Alums who collaborated on our plan, helping to ensure Havergal maintains its position as a world leader in girls’ education. We are delighted to share with you the 2023–2024 Annual Report, highlighting our community and new initiatives, such as the Ahead of the Game Campaign . This campaign not only promotes equity and participation in sports, but our girls will also benefit by learning teamwork and leadership skills, coupled with the health benefits directly associated with regular physical activity. We are excited about the prospect of an artificial turf and seasonal dome, the new Baldassarra Junior Playscape and plans to redesign the tennis courts and Lower Pitch. We look forward to the year ahead as we embrace new experiences and new connections. Thank you for your ongoing support. As partners, together we can achieve our vision.

STEPHANIE HOUGHTON Staff, Havergal College Havergal donor since 2023
Inspiring Philanthropy in the Ivy
"Since joining Havergal, I have been incredibly impressed by the commitment of our teachers, the learning opportunities for students and the supportive and caring atmosphere. Havergal’s mission to support girls to make a difference is needed more than ever in our complex and changing world. I feel it’s important for employees to give and I’m pleased to direct my donation to our financial support fund, so smart, talented and deserving girls can attend Havergal and be part of this amazing community."
LAWRENCE HO Parent of Mia (Grade 12) Havergal donor since 2024
IVIE AND VAN LI Parents of Noelle (Senior Kindergarten) Havergal donors since 2023 "Our primary motivation to give back to girls’ education, leadership and empowerment stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of education. We are passionate about creating opportunities for students to excel in areas traditionally underrepresented by women. Supporting initiatives such as STEM allows us to contribute to breaking down barriers and fostering inclusive environments, where students can thrive and become future leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We hope to provide students with more opportunities to develop critical thinking, problem solving skills and innovative mindsets. By investing in their education and empowerment, we aim to inspire and enable them to reach their full potential."
“Our family has a long-standing connection to Havergal College, with both Sharen as an alumna and Mia as a student. We wanted to contribute in a way that would have a meaningful impact and create a lasting legacy for future generations. By supporting the renovation of the tennis courts, we’re not only elevating the calibre of the school’s athletic facilities, but also empowering female-led sports."
DEBORAH AND BRUCE DRYSDALE Parents of Hope (Grade 10) Havergal donors since 1993 "Our primary motivation to give back stems from witnessing the profound impact learning support has on students. We chose to support this vital area because addressing learning differences is key to creating an inclusive environment, where all students can thrive. Investing in this program helps dismantle stigmas and provides the personalized help every student needs to flourish and succeed."
ANONYMOUS “We have been long-standing supporters of Havergal College because we believe in the school’s mission and values. Our decision to support the construction of the turf and dome on the Cohen Family Sports Field stems from our commitment to supporting women in sports and the extraordinary benefits sports provide. Participating in athletics empowers women with enhanced leadership skills, boosts self-esteem and fosters a strong sense of confidence that positively impacts their overall wellbeing and future success.”

This is an amazing school, and it was really inspiring to watch my grade rally to support accessibility initiatives to make it even better. Accessibility has special relevance and importance to our class, and the entire experience taught us all a lot about philanthropy and giving."
“After 14 years of engaging in the volunteer community at Havergal, it was a genuine honour to be invited to chair the Grad Fund Committee as my concluding volunteer position. Our team achieved the second-highest Grad gift in the history of Havergal—a source of pride for all 2024 grads and parents! Immersing myself in a vibrant, compassionate and welcoming community has been a truly enriching experience that I will deeply miss. Contributing to a community that played a significant role in nurturing my daughter has been immensely meaningful to both of us. Above all, the lasting friendships and cherished memories created during these years will be treasured for a lifetime."
