CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
Middle School Middle School runs two semesters of clubs that take place biweekly. Participation in these clubs is mandatory as they provide our students with opportunities to explore and discover interests and build new relationships. Clubs, led by teachers and senior students, run the first session from September to January, and the second session runs from January to May. Havergal clubs engage with a wide variety of interests, allowing students to move outside comfort zones. Through our Club Program, students gain valuable skills, knowledge, friendships and a sense of belonging within our community. Past offerings have included: Debate, Badminton, Business, Visual Art, Chess, Digital Media and Robotics. Upper School More than 30 clubs are available in the Senior School, allowing students a wide range of opportunities to explore, develop and forge lasting friendships. Offerings are diverse, from culturally-focused programs to aspects of science and personal hobbies such as Virtual Reality and design. In joining a club, students develop new interests, build connections and gain experiences with teamwork and leadership. Competitive clubs like Model UN, Debate, HOSA, DECA and Robotics offer additional challenges and the chance to excel in specific areas. Competitive club members can travel widely to hone and test their skills against students from across province and beyond. Community clubs meet regularly during the school year during lunch hour. Competitive clubs meet after school or in the mornings in order to prepare for competitions.
