CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

September to January, and the second session runs from January to May. Havergal clubs engage with a wide variety of interests, allowing students to move outside comfort zones. Through our Club Program, students gain valuable skills, knowledge, friendships and a sense of belonging within our community. Past offerings have included: Debate, Badminton, Business, Visual Art, Chess, Digital Media and Robotics. Upper School More than 30 clubs are available in the Senior School, allowing students a wide range of opportunities to explore, develop and forge lasting friendships. Offerings are diverse, from culturally-focused programs to aspects of science and personal hobbies such as cooking and reading. In joining a club, students develop new interests, build connections and gain experiences with teamwork and leadership. Competitive clubs like Model UN, Debate, HOSA, DECA and Robotics offer additional challenges and the chance to excel in specific areas. Community clubs meet regularly during the school year during lunch hour. Competitive clubs meet after school in order to prepare for competitions.

Athletics Philosophy & Teams Philosophy

We encourage every student to engage in our Athletics Program, which has the breadth to meet the needs of a diverse group of students and the depth to challenge students at all stages of athletic development. Through participation in athletics, students will develop the confidence to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle beyond their time at Havergal. Teams Squads, Grades 1 to 3 Squads are available to students in Grades 1 to 3. This non-competitive athletics program is focused on developing the FUNdamentals of sport. Squad Teams, Grade 4 Squad Teams are available to students in Grades 4. Girls in this program begin training according to more formalized methods with an emphasis on sports skills.
