Global Partnerships

Global Exchange Program The Global Exchange Program at Havergal College offers students in Grades 8 and 10 the opportunity to take part in experiential learning and personal development through living and studying in another country and, in return, hosting a visiting Exchange student. The Exchange experience enables students to see themselves as part of the international community and develop into confident, capable, compassionate young women who can contribute to the global community. Students who participate in the Exchange program must comply with Havergal’s Extended Absence policy. Our Philosophy We believe that the Havergal exchange experience builds understanding of self, resiliency, independence, global mindedness and cultural fluency. We believe that the Havergal exchange experience builds the skills and mindsets of compassion, curiosity, integrity and courage, and sets up participants to make the world a more understanding, compassionate and positive place. Values & Beliefs We believe in the power of exchange to elevate perspective and understanding.

We value these unscripted experiences for students to discover, learn and grow.

We celebrate the courage it takes to venture into the unfamiliar and uncomfortable, and the beauty of self-knowledge that comes with this.

We work in a reciprocal partnership of high trust with all of our families from Havergal and abroad.
