FORUM FOR CHANGE
2. Proposals for fundraising in support of Community Partners beyond what is already scheduled must be brought to members of the Forum for Change for review. Appropriate proposals will then be brought to the Upper School Student Life Committee, which is led by the Vice Principal, Student Life & Wellbeing. Havergal acknowledges that students have the desire to fundraise and get involved with supporting their community and organizations of interest to them. We encourage students and faculty to align with our Community Partnerships wherever possible. Where this is not possible, students and faculty are encouraged to work with members of the Forum for Change to build their capacity outside of Havergal’s direct, on-campus support. Global Learning Projects Havergal recognizes the educational value that experiential learning opportunities can provide students. These Global Learning Projects are experiences that allow our students to know themselves in new ways, to better understand the lived experiences of others and to deepen their exploration of their role in the world. We are excited to be planning for community, co-curricular, academic and Forum for Change learning experiences for the 2023-24 academic year. These learning experiences will be communicated through student announcements and the Heads of School weekly communication. Social Innovation Opportunities The Forum for Change provides opportunities for students to engage with social entrepreneurs, global community leaders and innovative programming and workshops. These learning experiences have a shared purpose to expand perspectives, identify areas of need and/growth/improvement, and to act on these areas. These opportunities are held under the umbrellas of: Social Justice, Diversity and Equity; Learning Service and Cultural Understanding; and Social Innovation and
