CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

Dance Ensemble The Dance Ensemble is made up of students in Grades 7 and 8. All dance styles and experience levels are welcome! No audition is required. Rehearsals will be determined at the start of the year and additional rehearsals may be required after school. Mini Musical Revue The Middle School Musical Theatre Group is a new program open to anyone who is interested in joining. If you like to sing and dance, this is the program for you. Students will meet in the spring and work with a professional singer and dance coach. This group will perform a musical revue with songs from various musicals. The Senior Choir is an auditioned vocal ensemble for students in Grades 9 to 12. This group performs at all major school-wide events. Compulsory rehearsals take place weekly. Additional morning sectionals are sometimes scheduled when major school events occur. Chamber Choir* The Chamber Choir is a 16 to 20 voice, auditioned vocal ensemble of highly-skilled singers. These singers are musical leaders for the school in Prayers and act as musical representatives to the broader Havergal community. Students in the Chamber Choir must also be in the Senior Choir. Rehearsal dates will be determined at the start of the school year. Additional rehearsals may be required closer to performance dates. In addition to those events listed above under Senior Choir, the Chamber Choir performs in numerous other events throughout the year. Senior Orchestra The Senior Orchestra is a string ensemble that performs at all major school-wide events. It is composed of students in Grades 9 to 12. Rehearsals take place weekly. Concert Winds* Concert Winds is a senior band ensemble that is open to students in Grades 9 to 12 with prior experience. Rehearsals take place twice a week. Wind Ensemble* The Wind Ensemble is a new advanced senior band ensemble that is open to students in Grades 9 to 12. Rehearsals take place twice a week.
