The programming is designed to foster a love for performing arts. Offerings include: ballet, drama, vocal music, dance, string ensemble, band and more. Families also have the option to register their child(ren) for private music lessons. ● Ballet, Grades 1 to 6: Havergal College is proud to include American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, an eight level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development for all grades. The National Training Curriculum consists of age-appropriate, outcome based guidelines to provide the highest quality training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. ● JS Musical Cast Club, Grade 4 to 6: Calling all actors, dancers and singers to come together to audition for the Junior School Musical. This club runs during the winter term and includes both acting and musical theatre. ● JS Musical Set and Costume Design, Grade 4 to 6: Calling all artists and designers! If you'd like to be a part of the "behind the scenes" crew for the JS musical, this club is for you! You will work together with a team of student designers to make the sets and design the costumes for the musical. You will also be involved in making programs and posters and helping out behind the scene during the performances. ● The Havergal Learn to Play Strings, Grades 4 to 6: This exciting music program is aimed at teaching students the basics of playing the violin. Students will learn about violin techniques and forms while learning to play simple tunes with their peers.
