The Upper School Day

Arrival  Students are expected to enter the school using their swipe cards at their grade‑specific doors  closest to their lockers. Students are not permitted to enter the main door of the Upper School  after 7 am and before 4 pm. This entrance and associated waiting area in the Rotunda is reserved  for parents and guests who must sign in with Security before being issued a Visitor Pass.   Attendance  Havergal students are expected to be committed to their academic responsibilities and  co‑curricular commitments. Regular attendance at school is critical for student learning and  success. The school makes accommodations, where possible and appropriate, for elite athletes and  for exceptional family requests. In such cases, parents must advise the school well in advance of  the anticipated absences (when possible) so that the appropriate arrangements for academic  support can be put into place.   Daily student absences must be reported by a parent or guardian to the Day School Office (DSO)  prior to the start of the school day; that is before 8 am. This may be done by telephone or an email  message sent from a parent or guardian’s email account. The DSO will call home if no call or email  is received.

The Day School Office hours are from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
