Upper School Informal Student Leadership  House Ambassadors

Students in Grades 7 through 12 may volunteer to be House Ambassadors or House Buddies to new  students entering Havergal’s Upper School. Throughout the spring and summer months, the  Ambassadors are available to answer questions for the new girls who will be entering their Houses  in the fall. As well as attending new girl events in the spring, the Ambassadors are available in  several areas throughout the school during the first two weeks of classes to ensure our new  students are well taken care of.   Welcome Committee  The Havergal Welcome Committee is an active volunteer group of Havergal students who take  prospective students on tours of the school, greet special guests, speak about the Havergal  experience and community and serve as ambassadors at school functions.   Buddy Program  Some students assume an informal leadership role as a designated buddy to a new to Havergal  student. In this model, a returning student is paired with a new Upper School student. The assigned  buddy is responsible for making sure our newest community members feel welcome and  supported. The Buddy Program is overseen by the Guidance Department.
