CLASS OF 1992

CLASS OF 1992 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

CLASS REPS: Rachel DeBlois and Dale McIntosh Another busy year for us! Ana del Rosal opened Mountain Rose Integrated Wellness Center in Waitsfield, Vermont, in 2018. She offers yoga classes, massage therapy, and specializes in acupuncture. If you’re ever in Vermont, be sure to stop by! Brooke Murray loves life in Parkdale and is taking a well-deserved break from the restaurant business. Vicki Sawh helps run their family restaurant, Island Foods, on Don Mills Road. Since the King Street location closed, she has had some extra time with her two girls, Samantha and Natasha, and has developed a new line of all-natural hot sauces with her husband. The brand is an extension of the Island Foods restaurant, and two of the three sauces have already won awards. Dora Boylen-Pabst is now CEO at Headwaters Health Care Foundation and lives in Schomberg with their four dogs and Charlize (16) and Raif (13). Charlize was scheduled to take Grade 12 biology at Bermuda’s Oceanographic Institute this summer. Dominique Ing Tieu 1991 enjoys nursing in the NICU at SickKids. Last summer, her family went to Thailand to watch her eldest, Ellis, compete on Team Canada’s junior dragon boat team. Their middle child, Reese, is going into his second year of paddling, and their youngest daughter Sloane hopes to follow in her older brother’s footsteps... or strokes! Susy (Sooz) Sinclair lives in the Blue Mountains two hours outside of Sydney, Australia. She is a learning support teacher at a primary school, working with students who have additional needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a single mum to two children, both in high school, the eldest doing his HSC (OSSD-equivalent). At RSGC,

Rachel DeBlois is the foundation year coordinator and still enjoys teaching Grade 9 French. In her role as an admissions associate, she has had many classmates and friends’ kids apply to RSGC over the years. It is cool to think that one day she will teach them in her classroom! Rachel’s kids Jordan (14) and Dufferin (12) earned their black belts in karate in December. They have found their passion for karate and often volunteer at the dojo with the younger classes. Dale McIntosh keeps busy with her boys and their sports schedules. She stays in the loop on life at HC through her husband, who is the vice-principal of strategic innovation and design. And if you are wondering, he is a Frannie, too! Sadly, this year we lost two classmates, Louise Rough and Nancy Harrison . A few of us were able to attend Louise’s celebration of life in Aurora. Her message to “maximize the minimum” and “enjoy your today” will stay with us forever. While Nancy attended Havergal for a short time, those who knew her will remember her sense of humour and love of the outdoors. We wish both Louise and Nancy’s families our deepest sympathies. HC has a new alumnae portal called CONNECTIONS. Please consider joining today at connections.havergal. on.ca. It’s a new platform that highlights networking possibilities, mentoring opportunities, and live feeds from HC’s social media pages.
