CLASS OF 1984 ~ 35th Reunion

CLASS OF 1984 BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

The Class of 1984 celebrated its 35th Reunion last fall.

CLASS REPS: Mary McDerment Wellner, Linda Oland and Melinda Taylor It was so wonderful to see all of you who could make it to our 35th Reunion last fall. We had an amazing night of catching up – the roomwas humming! We missed everyone who couldn’t make it. Thank you very much to our hostess with the mostest, Nicole (Nicky) von Schroeter , for opening her beautiful home to us for the night. Nicky is back in the saddle, trying to bring transparency to the Canadian bond market while balancing precious time with her two children still at home. After 15 years as a movement and mobility coach and a natural health educator, Fahmida Bhabha continues to work with individuals and groups to live healthier physically, mentally and emotionally. Fahmida lives in Leslieville with her two cats. Susan Blair Spratley ’s sons have graduated from university and are working – Alex in

digital marketing and Will in the film and television industry. Both are living at home, which makes Mom happy! Sandra (Sandy) Buik had two foot surgeries but has recovered thanks to some awesome post-op home care by Cynthia (Cindy) Hayhurst. Sandy has a new HR job and is trying to do more volunteer work focusing on sustainability and climate change with the World Wildlife Fund. Jennifer Dolman continues her franchise litigation practice at Osler. 30 years as a lawyer and never a dull moment! She is also working with U of T’s Governing Council. Jennifer’s children are doing well. Harris is working at a software company, Sasha is at Queen’s studying theatre, and Abby is in Grade 11 at Havergal. Anne Hubbs has had an exciting year, surveying wildlife in Western Canada by helicopter (think bighorn sheep and bison) in her work as a biologist and spending five weeks cycling through the mountains of China.
