CLASS REPS: Jill Adamson Mallory and Nancy (Nan) Laine Dunlop A big hello to the Class of 1977. It appears that none of you are slowing down, and you are all maintaining busy lives. Many of you are still working, some retiring, travelling, skiing, boating, hiking, singing, playing tennis, doing charitable work, parenting and grandparenting. Most of this we know through word of mouth and Facebook, as most of you are too busy to send in news :). Maybe next year? Robyn Kitchen Beattie continues to be an active downhill skier, hiker and biker. She will be enjoying time with her new grandson Everett Cooper who was born on February 29th, 2020. A leap year baby! Nancy (Nan) Laine Dunlop keeps busy selling real estate and arranging mortgages in Muskoka. She spent February in Costa Rica and had a fabulous time. All renovations to her 150-year-old farmhouse were put on hold in October when two baby granddaughters and their Mom moved in. Nan is always looking forward to her next holiday or weekend getaway with Tracy Gooding Roberts . Tracy still lives in Aurora and spends her summers on Lake Simcoe. She is keeping active, playing tennis almost every day. Nancy Drope is looking forward to becoming a grandmother in May. She continues to build her small business empowering men and women through self-care practices with the tools of yoga, oracle cards and astrology. Nancy said she found that her passion was innate and seemed to have started at Havergal as boarder captain. Colette Baron-Reid , “The Queen of Oracle Cards,” has been instrumental in

Nancy’s evolution. Nancy messaged that 2020 would prove to be a year of coming home to ourselves as we keep a neutral mind in the seeming chaos. She is happy to host any of us for a retreat. Jill Adamson Mallory is semi-retired and really enjoys spending more time with her grandchildren and friends. She and her husband Steve have been involved in a musical fundraising campaign for several years with Gain Canada. To date, they have funded the digging of 15 water wells in Africa, providing clean drinking water for 20,000 people. Janet (Jan) Andrews Varner is enjoying retirement in their winter beach home in Belize. They actively enjoy the beautiful natural setting complete with birds, iguanas, marine life and canine friends. In the summer, they change locations to their home in Ramea, Newfoundland. Janet Williamson Forman is writing the sixth book in her Lee Smith series of mystery novels, slated for publication in September 2021. She is assisting her son with his plans to walk across Canada to raise money for research into treatments and cures for blinding eye disease. She is profiled on page 18. Susan (Sue) Wansbrough is a vice-principal in Keswick. She enjoys living in Eastbourne on the shores of Lake Simcoe, where the Wansbrough and Lawrence families grew up cottaging. Hope we receive more news next year. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2020.
