CLASS OF 1953 BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

CLASS REPS: Nancy Turville Bongard, Jill Bartlett Colley and Diana Porritt Greer Jolly Wrong Macdonald , like most responsible Old Girls, was in self-isolation last spring. Barb Owen Pauli is well, playing bridge and Mahjong. She stays in touch, reporting that she enjoys cultural events with her family! Marni Littlejohn Wigle , living in Belmont House, is well supported by her family and has wonderful care. Sheila Milburn Armstrong has just moved to Del Manor Retirement Home in Don Mills. Jill Bartlett Colley is still enjoying the cottage in Muskoka with her children and grandchildren. She plays bridge at Belmont House with Jolly! Ruth Mowat Jackson is well. She often sees Cathie Blackie Ross . Anne Aitken Baker is busy in the springtime, going to Nova Scotia, where she is honorary patron-in-chief, involved with the “Battle of Britain.” She was the reviewing officer of the Llewellyn Sea Cadets graduation in 2019. Diana Porritt Greer and Don divide their time between Florida, where Don has business interests, and their lovely home in Erin. Wendy Robinette Calder reports that she and George are well and fit – walking, biking and enjoying their Southampton cottage and Barbados. She participates in a reading club in Woodstock. They are blessed with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren!

Nancy Turville Bongard is dealing successfully with health issues and is grateful for caring family and friends. She still paints and is involved with her wonderful St. Mark’s Church and with fundraising for RiverBrink Art Museum. She visits family in Toronto and still entertains in her townhouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake. In London, Betty Bunting Duffield and Bill still enjoy their ancestral home and visits from family. Marilyn Ward King and Wally love their travels to Sarasota. We are very sorry to report that ArdenWells King passed away at the end of May. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by many. Judy Francis Kilbourne sent a warm message from Calgary. She has not been slowed down due to ill health. She spent a month on holiday in Florida and just returned from Palm Desert. Sadly, the philharmonic she worked on for three years has shut down. She and her family are adjusting to self-isolation, feeling blessed and trusting that things will work out... with a God bless.
