Their favourite place to walk is always the Yorkshire Dales, but two recent trips to Austria and Provence have offered up some fabulous landscapes and challenging climbs. She says they are always amazed when they make it! They also continue their work with the Midland Guest House, a shelter for the most challenged members of the community.

Jean Sheppard (Upper School English) was contracted to write the history of the last 25 years of Havergal College’s history, a follow-up to the 1994 book Havergal: Celebrating a Century by Mary Byers. The two records could not be more different, as Jean chose to develop an interactive read that tells the school’s story from 1994 to 2019. It features audio recordings from Old Girls and current and former faculty and staff members, along with
