CLASS OF 2017

CLASS OF 2017 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

CLASS REPS: Stephanie Higgs, Evelyn Silverson Tokatlidis and Coco Wang For Lisa Wright , a highlight of 2019 was having a relaxing weekend with Stephanie Ross and Vienna Cimetta at her cottage last summer. This year, Lisa studied at the National University of Singapore for one semester, and she was very excited to continue travelling around Southeast Asia for two months. Something that had an influence on Lisa in the past year was attending the Canadian Conference for Global Health in Ottawa, where she heard from professors and researchers with diverse academic backgrounds. To relax outside of classes, Lisa enjoys taking rhythmic cycling classes to escape from the “real world.” Evelyn Silverson-Tokatlidis ’ highlight of 2019 was becoming VP Varsity Affairs on the Varsity Council. She has become very involved with the varsity community at McGill and has found a home there. In 2020, Evelyn looks forward to continuing her studies in economics and international development. She is running for Varsity president to continue to be a part of the council in a higher leadership position. She had planned to backpack around Europe this

summer. Evelyn’s rugby team has continued to influence her to push harder on the field and in her studies. For Stephanie Higgs , a highlight of 2019 was reuniting with Alie Hunter and Alexia Luca in July for an outdoor summer weekend in Dartmouth, Vermont. This year, Stephanie had the privilege of studying communications at Wilfrid Laurier University in Madrid for one semester and has enjoyed exploring Spain, meeting new people and the enriching Spanish culture. Stephanie was very fortunate to have spent quality time with both grandparents, who had a large influence on her life. Sadly, her grandfather passed away last November. Outside of classes and work, Stephanie enjoys teaching cycling and fitness classes and, in the warmer months, going outdoor back tripping and canoeing in northern Ontario with Dina Curtos . Coco Wang was honoured to receive the WIT scholarship for entrepreneurship and innovation in New York this past February. She also won the grand prize at the Wharton Alliance Case Competition. Coco was looking forward to spending time this summer consulting for a startup in Bangalore, India.
