CLASS OF 2015 DAVID SUMNER BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

CLASS REPS: Tessa Buchan, Sara Gilchrist and Rachel (Alex) Harrison This past year was an exciting one for the Class of 2015, with many girls completing their undergraduate degrees and moving into the next chapter of life. Some 2015 grads are continuing school in pursuit of graduate degrees. Erin Caplice graduated from St. FX University and is pursuing a doctorate of chiropractic in Toronto at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dayna Smockum has been living in Paris since September 2019, completing a master’s in creative writing. She will be finished in August and returning to Toronto to begin a master’s of journalism at Ryerson. Daniella Whitelaw has moved to Australia to continue her studies in architecture after having graduated from U of T. Sara Keshavjee just graduated from Cornell CLASS REPS: Emily Dotsikas, Julia Mastroianni, Jessica Munk and Jane Yearwood Madison Kennedy has been enjoying her last year at Western University, studying psychology and sociology. She looks forward to travelling this summer before exploring work opportunities in the fall. After graduating from the University of Warwick, Vanessa Lo is now a co-founder of the app ZitMuk and founder of a yoga studio that aims to spread the importance of physical and spiritual well-being. She has also been volunteering to teach at multiple under-privileged schools while working as an investing banking agent. Mengxuan Zhang is enjoying her fourth year of veterinary medicine in Edinburgh. Her biggest achievement last year was saving an emaciated baby pigeon behind the library. CLASS OF 2016

University and is now attending Columbia Medical School in New York. Other 2015 grads that have moved to the Big Apple and are now living in New York City include Tessa Buchan, Sarah Burgess, Madison Crema, Kaitlyn Francis, Avalon Morell, Taylor Murrell and Susanna Manziaris . Some 2015 grads have found their way back to Toronto, including Grace Acan , who graduated from Acadia in the spring and now works at Me to We. Others who have begun their careers in Toronto include Sara Gilchrist, Katie Pittini, Sierra Singh and Hannah Lomax . This coming year looks to be full of new adventures and experiences for our class, and we will celebrate our 5th Reunion in May of 2021.

CLASS OF 2016 GLOBAL EXPERIENCE BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

Other than that, she just completed a summer project at the University of Cambridge, looking into the genetics of obesity in Labrador retrievers. During her free time, she competes for the University of Edinburgh in target rifle shooting and has won medals in both the Scottish and British leagues. She looks forward to working at the hospital in her final year and going to Colorado for an exchange program next spring. After graduating from Queen’s University, Jaimie Kidson will be returning to Toronto to work as an associate at Coactuate. It is a strategic design firm in Toronto that focuses on the pharmaceutical industry. Rachel Ziglestien will continue her studies at the University of Toronto after graduating from Queen’s University. She will be studying to do a master’s of applied science in chemical engineering.
